This programme is actually a helping hands for those students. The objective is to hone the abilities of engineering graduate students with additional skills for effective employment, and also to bride industry-academia skill gap. The reason behind the inauguration of this programme is less employability. There is a talent divide that has been created, as more than 75 per cent graduates today are not job-ready. BCA is a job oriented degree course and you can go for job immediately after BCA in Small and Medium size IT companies. The general eligibility criteria to be eligible for applying for BCA course is 10+2 from a recognised board of education or equivalent, with minimum 50% marks in total and also having Mathematics as subject in the qualifying examination. Some colleges such as government universities such as IGNOU allow non-maths students to seek admission in BCA.
