You can definitely take admission in DAV. That is a very good college, and as you said about your optional subject. Informatics Practices is a course to get acquainted with computer terminologies and operation handling, so that would help you a lot in your further studies especially in programming languages.

Your choice of doing BCA is very good but for pursuing BCA you must have 50% marks in class 10th and class 12th. So, if you have achieved that go with the flow and grab the opportunity. Best of luck.

In simple words, there is great scope in India on game development. Believe me, you can make a game and publish it totally no cost of money only need time and patience. Seriously try these software below:
Start learning Python programming language. Game engine: GO DOT ENGINE. It is completely free, simple, very easy and powerful. But must learn first GD script it is a python like scripting language use in GODOT. For 2d drawing use KRITA, FIREAPALCA, GIMP, and for vector art INKSCAPE. For 2d animation use DRAGONBONE
For 3d use BLENDER. For sound use AUDACITY
And now when you complete your game publish it in AMAZON APP STORE, ITCH.

BCA is quite better than B.Sc IT. Main reason for it is that BCA is a professional degree whereas B.Sc is not. Professional IT people are in more demand than normal peoples.

Hello Aswin,
