Numerous IT companies from India employ huge numbers of computer professionals in their Indian and Overseas offices. Pre-Requisites:
A BE/B.Tech or BCA/MCA become an IT engineer. And a person requires +2 with mathematics to pursue B.Tech or BCA. Others without mathematics too can do various short term certification and Diploma courses in various small packages. However, there is a stringent selection procedure at place for computer engineer wherein admission to the BE /B.Tech courses is extremely competitive. An internship programs at various IT companies would garner practical knowledge and employ - ability and it is a must and can be either after or during the course. Job Prospects:
Booming IT sector in India has plenty of jobs for fresh computer Science graduates. Candidates from top notch engineering colleges however get attractive job offers from MNC IT companies in comparison to not so known engineering colleges. Additionally, candidates with higher percentage of mark and good communication skills as well as sound computer knowledge do not face problem in getting a job whether they are from a reputed engineering colleges or not. Bank exams are considered one of the lucrative and the respected job in this new era and this is the reason that large no. of candidates apply for the banking jobs and the no. are increasing gradually. The minimum qualification to apply for the banking exam is graduation degree in any stream. Candidates interested in banking job can apply for the IBPS PO, IBPS SO, IBPS Clerk, IBPS RRB officer, and Assistant post.
There are different eligibility criteria based on the nationality, educational qualification and the age limit for the different posts. You must check all the eligibility to ensure if you fulfill all the criteria and can apply for the exam. Apart from the IBPS exam, candidates can apply for the SBI bank recruitment. SBI conducts SBI PO, SBI clerk, and SBI exam to recruit candidates for its own branches. 2. Higher Studies:-
Here 3 different routes are available like post-graduation, management and study abroad.
I. Post-Graduation (M.Sc. -IT/ MCA)
In Post-graduation, a B.Sc. IT graduate can do a M.Sc in the same field or a MCA. Now, Job-wise M.Sc is preferred by people who want to go into the research or the teaching field. MCA is for people who want to become programmers and all those high paying jobs. The MCA is a 3 year course while the M.Sc is a 2 year course.
II. Master of Business Administration MBA
Now, one can do MBA even after Post graduate degree but doing it right after your Bachelors will give you a great edge and catapult you to a high paying job of a manager much Faster. To do MBA in India the student has to appear for the exams like CAT, MH-CET, CMAT, XAT, SNAP, NMAT, etc.
III. Study abroad for MS or MBA
If studying abroad is an option for you then preferable options are either UK or USA as they are the best in the IT field and offer the highest salaries too! US need 16 years education while UK allows 15 years. Now a B.Sc. IT graduate will have completed 15 years of education so his only option is UK where the MS that is Master of Science in IT which is equivalent to Post graduate degree in engineering is only of a year. But, if you are keen on doing your MS IT in USA then you will have to do a small 1 year Diploma in any field so as to complete the 16 years of education and then apply for the colleges. So, take GRE (MS) or GMAT (MBA) Exam and then TOEFL, IELTS, etc. exam, score good marks and go abroad.
3. Other Certification Courses after B.Sc IT:-
A variety of certification courses are available for aspirants who have finished their Bachelor's degree in IT. A few of them comprise of:

4. Appearing for Public Sector Exams like U.P.S.C., M.P.S.C. , SBI-PO, etc. :-
The students who wanta to become an IAS, IPS, etc. or work in government organizations or banks can appear for various public sector exams conducted by respective departments of central or state governments.
