Programming languages are many like c, c+, python, Java and many more. For any programming language, I personally believe TMH (Mc grawl hill) books are the best ones. You can buy the books from their official websites as soft copies or you can visit any book store which has huge collection.

All the courses have different directions. Everything depends on interest. If you are having interest in technology then go for BCA or if in management then go for BBA.

If you have interest in software development and technology then you can do BCA. For getting admission in BCA just search for your favorite college and apply in that.
