There is no age or minimum educational qualification to become an ethical hacker. Anybody can become ethical hacker if he has exceptional computing skills. However, for long term career growth as a ethical hacker, you must be minimum graduate in any computer science degree such as B.Tech CS, B.Tech IT, BCA, B.Sc CS or B.Sc IT etc.

General Software
1) Familiarity with different operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linus, Unix, etc.)
2)Microsoft Office and document processing (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) since as engineers we have to be able to communicate our work to others.
3)Matlabis a common programming tool used for engineers, although C+ and Fortran has it's applications as well. I.e. I know CFD codes use Fortran a lot since it compiles code it executes large data sets much quicker.

I think you should opt for B.Tech only if you are getting a good college. Otherwise, go for MCA through NIMCET.
