The choice between MCA and MBA depends on your interest domain. If you would like to have a purely technical career in programming then you should go for MCA. You can pursue MCA through distance learning from IGNOU or SMU. IGNOU has provision for non-mathematics students too. However if a core technical career does not interest you much, then you can go for MBA in IT. Along with you can also consider a course in Project Management. This along with MBA will help your career to grow to the level of Team Leader and Project Manager.You can pursue MBA also through distance learning from SMU or IMT ghaziabad or IGNOU. Bavitha, I think the answer by Monisha gives you enough to think about BCA. Let me give you a different insight. I would love to understand the motivation you have to study BCA even though you chose commerce earlier. Since that is where the answer would lie. Was it because you like computers? Is it because you want to learn Database? Is it because you want to design websites? Let's find the motivation first and then the route. Surensdra, I am not sure how good you are with maths and programming. If you are, then you must pick up a language whether PHP/ HTML5 (web dev), .Net (for software dev) Java/ Android (for apps) or C#/ Unity (for games). However like i mentioned, you must be good with programming to move ahead in this area since you have to compete with other MCAs and BTech(CS) applicants. So choose your internship/ industrial training very carefully. Do not just go for the cheapest to save money. See the IT company's credentials on the net. for example if someone provide LIVE PROJECTS are they there near the TOP on PORTALS like JUSTDIAL? Or if the company is registered with STPI (Software Technology Parks of India) - all good IT companies are registered with STPI. If a company spends money to market themselves to customers, only then they are able to get LIVE PROJECTS. Also, if you are an average programmer, and if you you're better with creative work, then you can head for web design or even vfx/ animation since there is a huge requirement coming up in that domain. BBA:
A BBA gets you entry-level positions in many corporations and factories. You would do lot of backend work, and provide support services to your seniors. Exceptional candidates could expect to do some customer interface, though it is very rare. Also invariably, you would hit the glass ceiling very fast, and would require an MBA to move up the ladder. Since the degree will equip a student of BBA with the basic knowledge about corporate management and skills it will help them understand the diverse functioning of a company. BBA graduates can look for jobs in sales and marketing department of companies as members of sales teams or as management trainees.
BCA:
Being a growing field, there are a lot of opportunities available for a person pursuing MCA or BCA. It is advisable to take work experience after doing BCA and then enroll for MCA as scope for a good position broadens if a person has relevant work experience along with the necessary skill sets. The courses focus on making the student familiar with technical languages at the bachelor's level and taking a specialization at the master's level. After pursuing the necessary educational qualification a person can seek job opportunity in the field of software developer, web designer, systems management, etc.
BHMCT:
