Admission to Jaya Engineering College (JEC), Thiruninravur, Chennai, for the B.E./B.Tech degree course is usually done through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) which mainly recruits students on the merit basis of their 12th-class results. Students from states other than Tamil Nadu have the opportunity to get into this college based on individual requirements and without TNEA as they apply directly to the college with the management quota. This involves meeting the minimum academic qualification in college, and there could be some additional fees, so one should contact the admissions office directly to learn more.

Actually, it is possible to admit to the B.E./B.Tech course without TNEA in the A.R.J College of Engineering and Technology (ARJCET) through the management quota. Even though TNEA is the main road for class 12-mark admissions, the college may conduct direct admission under the management quota, which usually do not demand the TNEA rank. However, the candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria, like having the required marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics at the class 12 level. It is always better to contact the college's admission office for specific details regarding the management quota.

Primarily the entrance exam performance of candidates forms the basis of selecting them for B.E./B.Tech courses offered by A.R.J College of Engineering and Technology or ARJCET. Except in a few courses, students need to attend counseling based on TNEA in most of the B.E./B.Tech courses, after class 12 board exams. Though students appear based on their marks of qualifying exams, some cases might be through management quota too, considering merit as well. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria, which include a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for general category students, and a lower percentag
