At Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering (SVCE) in Tirupati, admissions to the B.E./B.Tech programs are primarily based on merit in the Andhra Pradesh EAMCET (Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test), with 70% of the seats allocated through this exam. Additionally, 30% of seats are reserved for management quota, and 20% of seats are filled through lateral entry for Engineering Diploma holders based on their merit in ECET (FDH).

The main prerequisite for admission to GCETTS, Serampore's B.E./B.Tech programme is a valid WBJEE score for regular seats via centralised counselling. The All India (AI) quota which takes into account JEE Main ranks (e.g 13372–35395 for SC category in 2024), allows candidates with JEE Main scores to apply. Direct entry may be permitted by management quota or open seats subject to eligibility (10+2 with 45% in PCM 40% for reserved categories), and additional fees. Diploma holders can apply for lateral admission through JELET.
