There are two profiles in the merchant navy, engineer and cadet, first, you need to decide which profile you want to go for. Under Cadet - you must clear IMUCET conducted by Indian Maritime Institute or JEE and do your B.Sc. Nautical Science or B.Sc. Marine Science
Under Engineering - You must clear IMUCET conducted by Indian Maritime Institute or JEE and do your B.Tech (Marine Engineering). You can also do B.Sc. Nautical Science or B.Sc. Marine Science.
