The Science stream candidates can apply for CSIR NET exam which is similar to UGC NET exam conducted to determine the eligibility criteria for assistant professor and JRF. The CSIR NET exam is held in five subjects in life Science, mathematical Science, physical Science, chemical and earth Science subjects. The CSIR NET exam is divided in three sections. a candidate can appear for the CSIR NET exam Earth Science with a Masters degree in Geography if he/she fulfill all the eligibility criteria of the exam, As per the qualification they can apply for the CSIR NET Earth Sciences. Provided the fulfill below criteria -
Candidates should have a Masters degree to appear for the CSIR NET exam with a minimum 55% aggregate marks if they belong to General/OBC category or minimum 50% aggregate marks if they are from SC/ST/PwD category. Yes, you can apply for CSIR NET Exam but to get the benefit of the exam, you have to clear your all backs within 2 years. Below, I have provided you CSIR NET Eligibility Criteria. You can check them and apply for the CSIR NET 2020 Exam before 30th June 2020. You can check the complete procedure from . Candidates must have a M.Sc. Integrated BS-MS, BS-4 Years, BE/B.Tech, B.Pharma MBBS or an Equivalent Degree to apply for the exam. Hello Sheetal, From Dec 2019, NTA is the conducting the CSIR NET to determine the eligibility of the candidates for assistant professor and JRF. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the NTA has extended the last date to apply for the exam till 30th June. You should check the form very carefully before the final submission. The candidates are allowed to make changes in the application form if they made any after the registration process ends. As far as UGC NET and CSIR NET is concerned, no exam date has been relieved until now. Just the applications are being postponed. For now, candidates aspiring for the following exams can apply till 30th June 2020. Candidates aspiring for UGC NET can now fill UGC NET Application form till 30th June 2020.
