For graduation courses, candidates who have appeared for 10+2 exam are also eligible. The qualifying marks for SEBC candidates from the state of Kerala is 55% in aggregate and minimum 50% marks in Mathematics as well. An overall, 50% mark in aggregate is required to apply for CUSAT CAT.

The unsolved question papers are available at http://dspace.cusat.ac.in/jspui/handle/123456789/8517 or you could get them via an email from the library. As far as I know there are no official solutions for them out there. But there are some books available in the nearby book stores where you could get a solution book for the previous year question papers of B.Tech. You could visit the nearby book stores though I'm skeptical whether you would get such books for all semesters. Hope this helps you.

It was decent last year (2017) i.e. my friend's batch. The core placements were less as compared to placements in IT sector. For their batch companies like JK Tyres, CEAT Tyres, L&T Valves visited along with lots of IT companies (for which mechanical was also eligible) and logistics-financial services also visited ( like Envestnet), etc. Apart from this, students who were members of the ISHRAE club got umpteen opportunities to sit for placement drive at Bangalore. (Godrej, Daikin and Voltas to name a few).
Off-campus placements happen frequently in and around other Engineering colleges nearby as well.
