Yes, why not.
End of the day, interest in specific field matters. ECE students understand the hardware which becomes a + point for a cyber background. Start by learning the basics of networks and network security. Certifications like CCNA Security, Network + will help you to understand the basics. Once you are done with this then learn scripting basics if interested and get hands-on with Linux/Windows OS as much as you can. With this knowledge you will be able to study and get certified as a CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker). Cyber Security is a very vast term and there are so many avenues within that you can master and make it your expert

Hi,
You cannot really say if it is the best. UK has many top ranked universities where you can learn from the best but if you are planning to work there you have to first check the work permit rules which are very strict for Indians. You will get only 6 months of time to look for a job. But, if you graduate from a top university and which has a very good career support center, you may have a scope. It will also depend on your own skills and academic performance. You can check this information with the university you apply for.

Hi Jerrin,
Masters in technology {M.Tech} computer science course can be pursued by B.Tech students or students having M.Sc in computer science. After BCA it's not possible. But MCA is also a good option for getting into IT jobs. You can also pursue MBA if you want to pursue your career in the management field.
I would like to recommend Vellore Institute for MCA and Doon Business School for MBA program as its ROI is impressive.

If you think you will achieve your goal after a drop then you should go for it. But if you have doubt about it, then you should not take the risk. And if you are getting Thapar, then go for it. Its fee is lesser than UPES and it has good placements as well. Thapar has its own reputation. After Thapar, I will prefer UPES.
