If there is an error in the DCECE admit card then candidates have to visit the following address to rectify the error:
BCECE BOARD, IAS Association Building, Near Patna Airport, Patna- 800014
Candidates must visit the address 5 days before the exam day from 11 am to 3 pm on any working day.

The syllabus for DCECE PM course group is Hindi, English and General Knowledge sections that are of class 12 level. Science (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) and Quantitative Aptitude that is of class 10 level. In PE course group class 10 level questions are asked from Maths, Physics and Chemistry. For the PMM course group the syllabus is class 10 level questions from Maths, Physics, Hindi, English, General Knowledge and Chemistry.

The exam pattern of DCECE is
- Mode of examination - Offline mode (Pen & paper-based test)
- Duration of exam - 2 hours and 15 minutes
- Total questions - 90 questions
- Total marks – 450 marks
- Options available - 4 options
- Correct answer - 5 marks
- Incorrect answer - No negative marking
- Type of questions - Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
In PE group question paper questions come from Maths, Physics and Chemistry. In PMM course group question paper questions come from Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Hindi, English and General Knowledge. The DCECE application process includes registration, filling out the online application form, editing the details, payment of the application fee, and taking printouts of the application form. Candidates must note that they must download and take printouts of both Parts A and B of the DCECE application form 2025.

Candidates have to upload scanned copy of their photo and signature as per the specification by the authorities. The details of the scanned documents to be uploaded are:

There is no age limit to apply for DCECE PE course group. But to apply for PM course group candidates must have a minimum age of 17 years and a maximum age of 32 years. To apply for PE course group candidates must have a minimum age of 15 years and a maximum age of 30 years.

The educational qualification needed for DCECE PM course group os 10+2 pass or appearing. For PMM and PE course group the educational qualification is class 10 pass or appearing.

Minimum 40% marks is needed in 10+2 to apply for DCECE exam for the PM course group. But to apply for PE and PMM course groups there are no minimum marks needed in class 10. Candidates can apply for the DCECE exam in online mode from the official website of BCECEB.

The DCECE exam is held in offline mode at the state level. DCECE is a state-level entrance test for admission to Polytechnic (Engg - PE) / Para Medical (Matric Level - PMM) / Para Medical (Intermediate level - PM) courses offered in the various state-run Polytechnic institutes. There are separate question papers for PE, PMM, and PM courses. It is held for 2 hours 15 mins and the total number of questions asked is 90.
