There is no age limit to apply for DCECE PE course group. But to apply for PM course group candidates must have a minimum age of 17 years and a maximum age of 32 years. To apply for PE course group candidates must have a minimum age of 15 years and a maximum age of 30 years.

The educational qualification needed for DCECE PM course group os 10+2 pass or appearing. For PMM and PE course group the educational qualification is class 10 pass or appearing.

Minimum 40% marks is needed in 10+2 to apply for DCECE exam for the PM course group. But to apply for PE and PMM course groups there are no minimum marks needed in class 10. Candidates can apply for the DCECE exam in online mode from the official website of BCECEB.

The DCECE exam is held in offline mode at the state level. DCECE is a state-level entrance test for admission to Polytechnic (Engg - PE) / Para Medical (Matric Level - PMM) / Para Medical (Intermediate level - PM) courses offered in the various state-run Polytechnic institutes. There are separate question papers for PE, PMM, and PM courses. It is held for 2 hours 15 mins and the total number of questions asked is 90.
