Hi Vivek,
As a student of IMI New Delhi, I am not in a position to compare the two colleges but I can definitely speak to you about my experience at IMI. IMI has a strong faculty base. The college will provide you with ample opportunities to explore and participate in several inter college events and corporate competitions. Placement opportunities are great at IMI. The average package for 2017-2019 batch has been 12.80 LPA and the highest package bagged has been around 20.75 LPA.

As far as I know, there is no provision for the transfer of students from one university to another university and precisely DU.

To apply in DU for journalism course (graduation), you need to secure minimum 50%, as you have got 78.6%. It is wonderful and you are eligible. Now, onwards you have to clear the entrance exam as well. And, you can prepare for the entrance by Reading newspapers, watch news, and Practice reasoning, grammar, General knowledge. Either, buy a book which covers all the above syllabus, or you can prepare from All India Exams online http://www.allindiaexams.in/home

It depends on the merit list, which differs every year. Sometimes it is as high as 95 - 99%, and it can also be around 85%. So, it can't pe-predicted beforehand.

No, it doesn't matter whether you opt for Science or commerce. Your overall percentile should clear the cut off of a particular college for english honours.
