Dr DY Patil Dental College & Hospital accepts admission through the NEET MDS counselling conducted by the MCC. Only the candidates who have appeared for NEET MDS can register for the counselling process. Hence, NEET MDS is the accepted entrance exam for MDS admission at the college. NEET MDS is the medical entrance exam conducted once every year, by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS).

The DY Patil Dental College MDS application process starts with the opening of the NEET MDS registration window. NEET MDS is the entrance exam required for MDS admission at the college. Following the exam, aspirants must register for the NEET MCC counselling for seat application. There is no need to separately apply for admission at the college or its official website. The exam schedule for the NEET MDS 2026 has not yet released. The application process is expected to be conducted during February 2026.

According to the UG Diploma eligibility criteria specified by DY Patil Dental College, Pune, only the applicants who have scored over 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology can take admission at the college for the Diploma programme.
