If you are good at your work then each design specialisation offers a very satisfying and lucrative career. That's why at would we allow you to change your choice of specialisation after your foundation year. What I recommend is that you take an appointment with a counselor at W. U. D and visit us. Here you can meet faculty and students from each department and see the work, which should help you make your first choice. You can of course change it later if required.

Fashion Design deals with fabrics and what you can do with fabrics. You use fashion accessories for styling your garments but your main material of use is fabric. A lifestyle accessory designer however deals with all kind of materials ranging from paper to wood, metal, gems, leather, fabric, plastics, rubber and so on. The range of products that they can get into is huge. Accessory design is actually a subset of product design and hence is very different from fashion. As to which is better is difficult to say. Both have huge scope. Choice will actually depend on your temperament and aptitude. Sometimes you are not sure however. That's why at would we allow you to switch between courses after your foundation year.
