You can pursue B. Des in furniture and interior design. The course will teach you how to design the furniture and will also give you an insight into the decoration and space management. You can apply to the below colleges to pursue this course:

I think you have taken the right decision by taking admission in UPES. No need of applying for TDV.

Admission Process:
The process of admission to Master of Design is through an entrance examination. This is known as Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED), it is conducted by IIT Mumbai every year. The test is designed to test the skills of the candidate like, colour sensitiveness, structure, perception, innovation and aptitude towards the discipline. Open learning courses do not have much validity when it comes to hiring, especially if you're eyeing reputed organisations. Also, design field is so extensive that personal training becomes a significant part. You cannot learn the skills through distance learning. I would highly recommend you to pursue the course through regular mode.

You are eligible for the M.Des for this degree you no need to have a specialised degree in the same field, you can pursue it with any graduate degree. You can join Anant National University for this course, this university has great infrastructure and highly qualified faculty. Here are the details:
