Minimum eligibility for the Undergraduate course in this field is 10+2 with 50% marks and for Post Graduate courses graduation. In the prominent institutes, admission is strictly on merit- through written test, situation test, group discussion and interview. These courses are aimed at understanding concepts related to costume, jewellery, leather goods and many other similar products where fashion matters.
So if you have not appeared for any entrance exam then look for private institutes at your location.

You can either send him to animation or graphic designing field or he can also pursue textile designing, fashion designing or other designing courses depending upon his interest. But, make sure he studies hard to either get into NID or NIFT.

You will get admission in distance learning course for fashion designing but, there is no scope after completing the course. You can only learn fashion designing when you do it practically and not just by reading the theory.
