It's very nice to know your dream of working in field of fashion designing. If you can both courses simultaneously then you can think of it. But both are very intense courses.

Jain University has quite a good name for it's dedicated staff and faculty. Its approach is to make students learn the subjects. I feel you should take admission without any hesitation.

If you are more interested to study automobile, better do Diploma in automobile and then do BE automobile engineering but you should consider about the mathematical knowledge may be you are lagging in maths probably it will screw you on semester exam.

If you are passionate about design and are willing to go the extra mile and work extremely hard to carve a career in design then do try out the Master's course at NID.
I am currently pursuing my Masters in “New Media Design" @ NID and I have a lot of mechanical engineers as my batch mates.
Yes, there is an age limit of 30 years to apply for a Master's course at NID.
