No, you don't need to necessarily take coaching to crack NIFT and NID exams. It can be done based on self-study. For that, you need to take notes on a few points. BCA and MFM are two different field of study. So, if you have done your BCA then you have the past experience and you know your interest well. I will suggest you to select MFM only if you are passionate/interested in this field.
