For PG course like M.Des in Fashion design requires a Bachelor degree in Fashion design, While M.Sc in Fashion design requires a Bachelor degree in any discipline. Hence, Diploma in AMT is not enough for PG courses in fashion design. So, Diploma in AMT students are not eligible for PG fashion design course.

It depends on the college that you want to take admission in. All colleges dot have this lateral entry option, but those which have you can apply to them and take admission there.

There are a number of competitive exams for chemical engineering in India. One can choose according to one's interest. GATE Just after B.Tech one can appear in this exam for higher studies or PSU jobs. IFoS (Indian forest service) – Actually, it is non-technical exam, but in Mains exam one can choose chemical engineering subject as an optional paper. (Cut off for IFoS is quite high as compared to IAS in prelims, as they have common prelims). IES yes, it's engineering services. Normally, Diploma courses are of three years of duration if pursue after class 10th. However, the recognition of your fashion design Diploma is depends upon the college from where you completed the Diploma course. Hence, please check the recognition of your college first.
