As a general entry requirement, the applicants at AIE must be 18 years of age. To take admission to this course, the applicants are required to have one of the following:
- A Bachelor's of Game Development major in Game Art or Game Design or Game Programming OR
- Advanced Diploma of Screen and Media OR
- Advanced Diploma of Professional Game Development
