You can get admission for Diploma in civil but on you 10th standard marks not on your 12th commerce percentage because you have not done your 11th-12th in Science. So, you want to waste your two years.

I am afraid, your quest in getting lateral admission in B.Sc. Course after completing you Diploma is not feasible. As per the present scheme of things, lateral admission route is available only to those who are interested in getting admission to an engineering course after completion of their Diploma course.

Candidate must have a B.Sc. Degree from a recognised university or equivalent, with two subjects combination ofhome Science, human genetics, nutrition and dietetics, botany, zoology, biochemistry, biotechnology, plant protection, microbiology, dairy sciences, agriculture and horticulture, home Science, medical lab technology, fisheries and public health from any recognised university or equivalent. It's very nice to hear from you that you are interested in doing your Diploma in part time mode. Unfortunately, such information is not readily available. However, I can suggest an alternative approach. Find out different Polytechnic colleges in your city, approach them one by one and seek information about part time courses.

Hello Vikas, yes surely and definitely you can seek lateral admission after completion of your Diploma examination. Some States in India conduct CET while others give admission based on marks obtained in Diploma. You can find details on the webpage of DTE of your state.

The highway engineer in NZ is also called a Roading Engineer. Now, Highway or roads is also one of the ever growing area along with other areas of Civil Engineers. Similarly, QS are also in great demand ( you can check in the latest skill shortage list). So, both streams are good.

You have to select which institution you want to join. Somewhere, its on first come first serve basis and different institutions have different hostel fee. For Bangalore, it's 78,000 per year.
