There are many colleges offering aeronautical engineering branch in Karnataka. If you can score enough marks, then you can get admission into aeronautical engineering. Of course the percentage and the rank in KCET changes from year to year and hence is no use giving the ranks of the previous years as this year also the rank at which the cutoff will take place will change. As far as my knowledge is concerned, there is no lateral entry (directly begin from 2nd year) in B.Tech AMU. Check the eligibility criteria for the entrance test here:
Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination of this University or an equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate of English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Or,
Diploma in Engineering of this University with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
