Diploma in what specialization? If it's computer related there are many opportunities after it and you will also be eligible for various competitive exams.

Firstly, every university must be approved by UGC. Now, if your course is not approved by AICTE, then it may or may not create some problems for you in future. If you are studying in a deemed university or in CAMPUS of the university (not in its affiliated colleges) approved by UGC, then even if your course is not approved by AICTE, it will not create any problem. This is because universities do not require AICTE approval compulsorily. They might apply for approval from AICTE just to add another feather to their cap. Yes, you are eligible for B.Sc in computer science after Diploma in electronics & telecommunication. You might not be eligible for lateral entry in B.SC but you can surely join from 1st year.

A student who passed class 10th bearing subjects Maths, Science & English is eligible for Diploma. And after this anyone having ITI certification, can take admission in Diploma 2nd year. Good Luck.
