Hello Sikandar,
You can definitely seek lateral entry into Government Engineering College after completion of your Diploma. Normally in any state the admissions are based on either the marks obtained in Diploma or an entrance exam conducted by the state. Here I will like to point out that the fees of government colleges are quite low and because of this many students give this as the first choice. Sorry to say, but apart from rank, there's one more criteria to join Jadavpur University. You have to pass 10+2 examination with 60% in PCM and have a Diploma certificate. It would be better, if you research about it a bit, because it's a recently added criteria.

Hello Faiz,
It is indeed very nice to know that you have scored 90% in your Diploma. My advice to you will be that to select mechanical engineering for your graduation. Low fees will be available only in Government Engineering Colleges and hence if other students have scored less than you in Diploma then you will have good chances of admission. So my advice will be to wait for the admission process to begin for next year and with positive attitude hope that you will get your desired college. Best wishes.

Hi,
PGDM in tourism is provided by less colleges in India, find out the specific colleges which are offering that programme then get to the admission process of that, The university intakes will be different based on the university principles so it would be better if you contact the university and know entire details and fulfill them or else follow their website directly or the best of them all is find it by the help of Shiksha.
