Yes, you can join, but you should have your class 10th pass certificates, and you can't pursue through distance mode. You have to attend the regular classes, and you have to skip the job.

Yes, you can take admission. As a new Diploma student, your previous Diploma will not give you any benefit. You can only get benefits on relevant branches.

Hi! Thanks for the A2A.
The thing is that NITs and IITs, or for that matter, even IIITs do not have lateral entry. While this may be counted as a certain disadvantage to a section of students, do try to understand that the rigorous preparation which churns out effective candidates cannot be replicated in any way in a lateral system. As a result, no, you can't get into an IIT/ NIT.

Yes, you can get admission in the second year via lateral entry but you have to crack the entrance exam and lateral entry seats are very limited.

No, you can't get lateral entry in B.Com after Diploma. You can only get admission in B.Tech if you want to take admission via lateral entry.
