This is a good option but many consider it to be a difficult to find one. The common industries one can try for are like pharmaceutical, biotechnology, agriculture, food, dairy like industries. If one can have a contact or try through some consultancy they will be able to get a call for interview and also may qualify for the job.
SCIENTIST POST IN RESEARCH INSTITUTES:
This is another area where your subject can be put to use. There are many research institutes willing to hire scientific and technical assistants for helping scientists in their work.
TEACHING:
This is a good area to find a decent job if one has interest to tea

You must have 60% of marks in your Diploma. According to your rank and performance in LEET/ECET/JELET, you will be allotted a seat in a particular college and then you can take admission directly in 2nd year of B.Tech/BE in that college.

Well, if you are worried that you won't get any engineering college with your class 12 result then I must say you are mistaken. Almost all engineering college take admission through entrance examination (either JEE main or state engineering entrance examination or their own entrance). You really don't need to do Diploma after 12 in order to get B.Tech and If you do Diploma then you can get into B.Tech second year as lateral entry.
