The most common candidates for this Diploma in gynecology and obstetrics would primarily be those who have a medical degree. Most possible candidates are MBBS graduates (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery).
Although BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) does indeed have some medical sciences foundations, he will not be eligible for such a Diploma as it is strictly oriented to allopathy-oriented degrees in medicine.
