Yes, all the courses offered by the Suresh Gyan Vihar University Distance Education are recognised by the Distance Education Bureau of UGC, making them valid and accredited. As per the official website of Suresh Gyan Vihar University, the university is also recognised by AICTE and NAAC. Therefore, the online degrees offered by SGVU are valid and recognized.

Students must score at least 40% out of 25/15 marks (i.e.10/6 marks) in Theory papers. Even for practical exams held by Alagappa University for select subjects, the student has to score 40% out of 40/10 marks (i.e. 16/4 marks).

The eligibility criteria vary depending on the course.
Undergraduate Programs: 10+2 (Higher Secondary School Certificate) examination or an equivalent qualification.
Postgraduate Programs: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised university is mandatory for enrolling in Postgraduate programs.
Some programs have additional eligibility requirements beyond the minimum qualification, as follows -
Online MBA Degree - Any bachelor Degree of minimum 3 years duration and obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of Candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying examination .
