However, for those who are unable to attend full-time, Distance Ed B.Sc. offers flexibility.Many specializations are available at University of Madras, including chemistry, physics, microbiology, and more. There aren't many specializations in Distance B.Sc.Full-time University B.Sc. programs typically have better faculty interaction and quality than distance learning.

Currently, University of Madras Distance Education Institute offers UG, PG, Diploma and certificate programmes across various specializations. It offers quality MBA programmes. Similarly, the fees varies depending upon the various courses of MBA programmes. The first year tution fees cost around INR 20K.

However, according to student feedback on the Shiksha site, 84% of the final batch were placed in prestigious companies. The highest package offered in Madras University distance education admission is INR 35 LPA and the lowest package is INR 7 LPA. Top recruits from Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Wipro, ICICI Bank, TCS and other companies have attended Madrasa University Institute of Distance Education.

According to Shiksha college panel, there is no particular number of seats intake for B.Sc at Madras University Distance Education.
