For any candidate to be eligible for admission, he/she must have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology or master's degree in appropriate Sciences with valid score in GATE or equivalent national level examination. The duration of B. Ed correspondence/distance learning is 2 years and the students will be given a maximum of five years to complete the course. The institute like UP Rajarshi Tandon Open University (UPRTOU) offers one year B. Ed course to the students.

B.E/B.Tech courses done through the distance mode are not valid as per AICTE guidelines for employment and higher studies purpose. Hence never be pursue. B.Tech lateral/ Part time are the best options. AMIE is another available good option which is approved by MHRD.
