Please, do not do it through correspondence. Although you can do it online, but then you need to be very passionate, since in online programs the faculty leaves the work for you and cannot keep motivating you. School is one good place to learn.

Then only opt for distance Btech.
If U R in a job then upto some extent it will help u to be promoted but if Louvre a fresher i ll suggest to go for regular course.
AMIE offers distance course equivalent to a 4 years btech degree course. You can opt for branches of your choice.
Similarly IME offers course on mechanical engineering and automobile engineering equivalent to 4 years BE

There is a new specialization which is been offered by few good Universities now i.e. Operations & Production Management.
