Yes, Hofstra expects the Duolingo scores to prove the English language requirements along with other test scores. International students coming from diverse backgrounds must prove their English language proficiency as a basic eligibility to get university admission. To complete Duolingo registration, here is the step-by step process:

  • Visit the official website of DET. 
  • Create an account by using your email id and password.
  • Click on the 'Buy Now'. You will get the option on home page of your account. 
  • Choose the exam pack you would like. 
  • Complete the payment.

Yes, Cambrian College accept Duolingo scores for Diploma, Certificate and Grad Certificate courses. Minimum Duolingo score required for Diploma & Certificate courses is 105-115. Whereas, for Graduate Certificate courses, the minimum score required in Duolingo is 120+. Other tests are also accepted such as TOEFL / PTE / IELTS.

There is no fixed date and time for Duolingo English Test. Student can take this English proficiency test 24*7. So, you have option to take the test according to your preffered time.  After completeing the test, you will get your score card in just 48 hours or less than that.

Yes, you can appear for the Duolingo English Test every month. According to the rules of Duolingo, you can appear for English test 3 times in 30 days. No test taker can attempt more than 3 times in one month span. This is the only limit on appearance in Duolingo English Test.

Kansas State University accepts Duolingo scores for undergraduate admission. The minimum Duolingo requirement is 110 or above than that. Students whose native background is not English must prove their English language proficiency by submitting the following score:

Hardness is really subjective, honestly. The DET is much shorter and more flexible, but the questions adapt to become quite difficult. IELTS is longer and more traditional. It just depends on what test format you find easier.
