Admission into Eastern Illinois University (EIU) is not very tough as the acceptance rate of this university is about 70%. Admission is done based on the student's high school GPA, standardized test scores like SAT or ACT, and other requirements including extracurricular activities, essays, and recommendations. EIU offers undergraduate and graduate programs with specific requirements depending on the program. Although the competition of a student with higher GPAs and strong test scores gives him an advantage, EIU is still accessible for students who fulfill the basic admission requirements.
