While attempting the JELET paper, the candidates will also have to answer questions based on Fundamentals of Electrical & Electronics Engineering section. The units of Fundamentals of Electrical & Electronics Engineering section that the candidates will have to study are - DC sources and circuits, Analog Circuits, Transformers, Basic semiconductor devices, Electrical components, measuring instruments, Digital Electronics, Electrical machines and AC sources and circuits. All of the units should be carefully studied to be well prepared for the examination.

Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For JEE Main Round 6 cutoff 2023, the opening rank was 32555 and closing rank was 40065 for the general category candidates under All India quota. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. Admission to Electronics & Communication Engineering (Embedded Systems and Internet of Things) in IIIT Ranchi is based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam. The cutoff trend for BTech at East West Group Of Institutions, Magadi Road has been increasing in the recent years. In 2022, the closing rank for BTech. under general category for all India quota was 35513. In 2023, it increased to 74949. Likewise, the cut off ranks have changed from 35513 to 74949 for OBC 35513 to 74949 for SC 35513 to 74949 for ST 35513 to 74949 for EWS
