Well the best thing you can do is have a good grasp of mathematics. Up to multivariable calculus is essential but Differential Equations and linear Algebra will definitely make your life a lot easier and make less stuff seem like it's coming out of thin air. Let's suppose you have the appropriate Maths background. The next best thing you can do is have a good background in first year calculus-based Physics (mechanics, electricity and magnetism, and Optics in particular). Assuming you have these two requisites you should have absolutely no problems with any introductory course. Tips to score well in Physical Chemistry:-

Some of the topics which have more weightage in JEE Advanced Maths are:
Complex Number
Conic Section
Circle
Calculus
Vector & 3 D
Probability
Trigonometric Equation
Properties of Triangles
Quadratic Equation
Sequence and Series
Permutations and combination. My tips on scoring atleast 50 marks in Maths are : -
1. Go through all the PYQS from 2011-2020. Solve them on time bound.
2. Many questions have been asked from Functional equation so practice 80-100 question of this types.
3. Give 5 mock test of 6 hours on the time.
4. Remember not to focus on Speed focus more on Accuracy speed will automatically increase

General Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have completed their BTech/ BE/ BSc engineering degree in their respective discipline from any University of Kerala or any other equivalent exam with at least 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-pointer scale.
Candidates must have qualified for GATE 2022 with a valid score. GATE score will not be required for candidates seeking admission in MTech Marine Biotechnology. Such candidates will have to qualify for JNU CEE MTech 2022.

If your son has scored 99.347 %Ile in JEE Main and as you not mentioned here about which category and I supposed to be general then your son have around 2500 ranks then your son will get MNIT Bhopal but it is not at top.

Sastra considers IPE in all the streams. Stream 1: Ipe + JEE score, with your ipe score if JEE rank is below 30,000 you have a chance to get seat in sastra. Stream 2 : only ipe no chance in this stream for main campus.

If your JEE rank stands with 40,000. You have ample of chances to get CSE in sastra. But wait until the 3rd of counseling ends to get your CSE branch.

Yes. You will be getting your seat in aerospace with your score mentioned. But you have to wait up to 2nd / 3rd round of counseling. So that you will get your chance of studying in aerospace SASTRA. All the best.

It's tough to get those courses in sastra main branch with your score. If you want CS IT, ECE courses mandatory with your score you can apply for kumbakonam campus of sastra. If you want a seat in main campus Thanjavur, you will get either chemical mechanical or aerospace with 50-50 chances. All the best.
