I think you may try for private colleges of your state board. Otherwise, take a drop and prepare for the entrance but dropping a year is not a good idea. If your performance in 10+2 is good you may get good colleges with your JEE Mains score. Check our JEE Mains college predictor:

Hello dear,
You need to score at least 60% to 70%, but can't sure about the college because lots of colleges require JEE mains score, but some private colleges fill their vacant seats for any cost.
