It would be better if you choose B.Sc. And if engineering is your aim, then prepare for it while pursuing your B.Sc. Degree and give the exam again next year or otherwise, focus on B.Sc. And start preparing for post graduation exams in your second year of B.Sc.

There is a chance for you to get a seat in Sastra but not CSE. Last year students with scores 989-988 got CSE
You may get ECE or EEE
Hope you will get a better seat.

Sorry for saying this, there is no chance for you to get a seat in SASTRA in stream 2 based on your rank. Last year, students who got even 984 marks didn't get the seat. Try for other universities.

Yes, there is large no. of college in West Bengal. And for seek admission in state government colleges of West Bengal you must need to qualify WBJEE. If you score good marks and secure better rank in WBJEE, then there is large no. of possibility for getting admit in West Bengal government college.

Jadavpur University also offers admission on the basis of JEE performance. For this you need to apply on online counselling portal JOSAA. JOSAA is host by any one of the NIT each year. It proceed the online admission and seat allotment of student on the basis of rank in JEE.
