It is unlikely that you get in Government Colleges with the 76% percentile and 355588 rank in JEE Mains like NITS or IIITs

You can get some private colleges mentioned below:

  • SASTRA Deemed University, Thanjavur

  • Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, Noida
  • Lovely Professional University, Phagwara

Thank you

Yes, Sri Aurobindo Institute of Technology in Indore does allow B.E. / B.Tech admissions without JEE Main. While a valid JEE Main score is considered during the counselling process, the institute also admits students based on Class 12 performance or through state-level counselling via DTE Madhya Pradesh. Direct admission under the management quota is also available. The admissions team is approachable and provides step-by-step guidance, ensuring deserving students from various backgrounds can access quality technical education without undue hurdles.

Whereas, for general category candidates it's more competitive. The cutoffs are very high. Thr general category students must score 98-99 percentile in JEE Mains for admission. With 73 percentile in JEE Main 2025, admission to NITs is unlikely for general category students, as cutoff percentiles are usually above 88. However, you may get a seat in state government engineering colleges through state counseling. Colleges in Bihar, Rajasthan, or Uttar Pradesh may offer options depending on category and state quota.

Scoring 5 out of 100 (raw marks) in GATE 2025 Mechanical Engineering means you have not qualified. The qualifying mark for the General category is around 25 or more, while for reserved categories it's lower. Since 5 marks is well below the cutoff, no GATE score or rank will be issued.
