To score good marks in MHT CET, solve previous year question paper and mock tests regularly. Complete the MHT CET syllabus and solve CET question papers every now and then, try finding questions that require a multi step approach to solve. I can say that there is no limit for the number of preferences we place in the order but the order is very important because for example if you have placed 70 options and you got 44 in the first round then from 45 to 70 all those will be cancelled for further rounds, only 1 to 44 options will be continued as they will serve as final choices for the second round.

On Shiksha you have mentioned that you have qualified 10+2 board exam in 2016 so you can attempt JEE Mains and Advanced thrice if your first attempt is in 2016 but as your first attempt is in 2017 you are eligible for JEE Advanced 2018 but this will be your last chance.

Hello Kartikeya,
To get the top NITs , your rank should be atleast 4000-6000 if you belong to the general category. For general category, CRL (common rank list) will be considered.
if you belong to the other categories, then your category rank should be atleast below 2000.
for all these parameters, your score is JEE main exam should be atleast more than 300.
