If you belong to general category, you will not get a good branch in any IIT. Perhaps, you can get in good NITs in electrical, mechanical and civil engineering branches. First of all get good books of all the subjects. Try clearing all the concepts that you find a little bit tough. Immense practice is what one requires to crack IIT - JEE. Solve various question papers every now and then, try finding questions that require a multi-step approach to solve.
