R.D Sharma & R.S Agarwal are the best books to start with for entrance preparation. Its clear concepts in simple English should always be in verse with. After that, if you desire to get above 170, you need a planned study with the help of coaching for the entrances. Moreover, the schools are also very important to clear your doubts.

You can get NIT, Silchar. But depends on which branch you want. It also depends on your category. Can you tell your category and branch you want? Then I can tell more precisely or more accurately. Thank you.

Hello Ketaki,
Admissions to engineering colleges in Maharashtra are based on your rank in MHTCET. Marks obtained can perhaps get you admission in All India Quota. But it's quite low.

If you are a resident of Delhi then you hold a chance to get in DTU, else it seems quite impossible. There is 5% reservation under CW quota. You can try for other regional colleges to get the benefit of your quota.
Good luck!

If you have a good percentage in 12th as well, by good I mean like 90+; then there are chances that you can get into a NIT. Moreover, CSE is a highly prioritized branch, for that you can go for your home state NIT. And the chances increase if you get category reservation.
Good luck with that!
