Getting a college also depends on which category you are in. If they are following 60/40 pattern while preparing ranking list, so it will also depend on your 12th percentage. Fill JOSSA admission form properly. Do the research about colleges in your state and nearby states and cities and check their cut-offs. If you are confident and consistent, you can also take a drop and work harder to score well.

The counselling and seat allotment of JEE Mains 2017 will be conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). JEE Mains 2017 counselling and seat allotment will tentatively be conducted in 6 rounds.
