No, you cannot join Neotia University without appearing for an entrance examination. The university admits students to the BTech courses based on the WBJEE entrance exam, followed by the WBJEE counselling process.
The cutoff is released in the form of opening and closing ranks for various categories under the All India and Home State quota. Only those students who can attempt the exam will clear the basic leveligibility criteria.

To get a seat at Neotia University for various engineering courses, students have to appear for the B.Tech. entrance examination, attain valid ranks, and then appear for the counselling process.
The cutoff was released for various All India categories. For the General AI category, the last round cutoff ranged from 52429 to 90385 for several BTech courses. As per this range, the hardest and the easiest courses for enrollment were B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) and B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security), respectively.

Neotia University BTech cutoff 2025 was released for admission to various All India categories based on the WBJEE entrance exam. For the General AI category, the overall cutoff ranged from 52429 to 90385, wherein the B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) course was the hardest course for admission.
Students can refer to the table below to know the last round cutoff for this category.
Note - Other categories will have different cutoffs accordingly.

Yes, you can get a seat at this university if you belong to the General AI category. This university had the last round cutoff ranging from 28 to 239138 for the BE CSE course. Hence, the General AI category can avail admission to the BE CSE course with a TNEA rank of 20000.
For the BE ECE course, the last round's the highest cutoff was 234786. Hence, the attained rank could grant admission to this course as well.
Note - This is the cutoff for the General AI category and 2 courses, other courses and categories will have different cutoffs.

For Anna University admission to the BE courses via TNEA, a good rank would depend on the category. For the General AI, the cutoff ranged from 28 to 239138 for the BE CSE course. Hence, a rank below 239138 would be considered good enough for a seat in various affiliated colleges under this university for this course.

Yes, Anna University does accept the TNEA counselling results for admission to various BE course and its branches. The TNEA counselling process is based on the class 12th marks for admissions to Government and Government-aided engineering colleges.
Colleges affiliated with this university also accept the TNEA results. The counselling result is published in various rounds, in the form of opening and closing ranks for different All India categories, like General, OBC, SC, etc.
