The important chapters in Physics, Chemistry and Maths for JEE Mains exam January shift are:

Physics - Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Optics, Mechanics. Moderate weightage: Modern Physics, Magnetism, Thermodynamics, Waves. Relatively lower weightage: Units and Dimensions, Experimental Physics, Kinematics.

Chemistry - Physical Chemistry (Stoichiometry, Chemical Equilibrium, Thermodynamics), Inorganic Chemistry (s-Block, p-Block elements), Organic Chemistry (Reactions of Alkanes, Alkenes, Alkynes, Benzene)

Maths - Calculus, Coordinate Geometry, Algebra, Vector Algebra, Probability and Statistics.

No, Abacus Institute of Engineering and Management appears to accept a valid JEE Main score or rank for direct admission to their B.Tech course into the first year, based on the information above.

However, two alternatives can be considered here.

Lateral Entry: In the case of an engineering diploma, a candidate is directly eligible to join the second year of B.Tech. This does not generally involve taking the JEE Main either.

National Testing Agency (NTA) has made some changes in the JEE Main 2025 exam. These changes are done to provide more accessibility and fairness. The exam structure has also been enhanced. NTA will be conducting the exam in two sessions - January and April. Students an definitely benefit from it to get admission in IIT Delhi BTech courses. As the students who are not satisfied with their Jan session exam score can reappear for the Apr session exam. This shall help students in understanding the exam criteria better and to feel more ready the next time they take the test.
