Hi Ashutosh, to study in USA take the SAT or ACT and TOEFL or IELTS. You have to apply to the univerisities via The Common Application portal. To study in UK take the IELTS and apply via UCAS. Follow admission timelines and deadlines and apply on time. You will find all information on university websites.

You must have a Bachelor's degree in the same field and also if you are good in academics, it will be a bonus for you.

Hi Yashwanth,
Excellent grades are must if you want to get into a good university. So, focus on your 12th. You must take SAT, TOEFL or IELTS to be considered for admissions. Though SAT is not required by Canadian universities, you may choose to take the test. Your SOP and LORs will also be evaluated for admissions. Ideally the SAT must be taken during 11th or 12th, so that you can submit your applications on time. Remember, you must start the application process a year ahead of the intakes. You should visit university websites for the average admission requirements and prepare accordingly.

Since both countries are good to peruse Mechanical Engineering. But Germany would be better among these two options, because it has more scopes and opportunities for Technical Fields.

Dear,
The SAT score eligibility varies from university to university. An ideal new SAT score in my view is 1200+ (higher the score, better it is) and with this score, you may target good universities in the US. As for TOEFL, it is more of an English assessment test rather than a competitive test. An ideal score for a UG course would be 80+ in TOEFL with no individual band less than 20. I'm not sure what you meant by "direct admission" and therefore cannot comment on the same.
Hope this helps.

Scholarships in USA are for those who really need it. If your resume is accepted there and if you had applied for scholarship with some of your family income proof (try to give the latest documents of taxes) and if it had been noticed that your family income is less than their expected criteria, then you will be eligible for scholarship.

It is a nice thought, but in India also we have good institutes like IIT for B.Tech. As per me, you should complete your B.Tech in India and opt for Master's abroad.
