Let me explain this with Advanced Diploma in computer science engineering example.
Advance Diploma in Computer Engineering is a Diploma level course. The programme uses electronics first approach to computers by providing a strong foundation in electronics, data communications and digital signaling.

By giving NDA, you are qualified for IMA, INA and Indian Academy of Air Force. After passing from NDA, you get direct Lieutenant rank or Captain rank in the given regiment. By giving IIT JEE Mains or advanced, you get to become a reputed engineer. Choice is yours. I'll go for NDA as a soldier lives
