No, only the hard copy of the admit card (printed in colour) is allowed for entry in the exam hall along with an original Photo ID. GATE admit card 2026 will not be issued to the candidates whose registration is incomplete or unsuccessful. If the authorities find any information, not in the prescribed format or is doubtful, the GATE application will be rejected and the admit card will not be issued.

Students might face some problems while downloading the GATE hall ticket 2026. The problem might be due to slow internet connectivity or a heavy load on the server. In such situations, candidates should try downloading the admit card after a short duration. In case any candidate forgets their application ID/Enrollment ID or password, they can reset it. In case a candidate has forgotten their password, they can reset it from the GOAPS portal. Candidates need to click on the "Forgot Password" link, after which they will be redirected to create a new password.

To take admission to B.Tech or B.E at Mumbai or Pune University after completing a diploma, you can apply through the Direct Second Year Engineering (DSY) program. The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell conducts the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) for lateral entry admissions. You need to register for CAP, submit required documents, and participate in the counseling process based on your diploma marks
