It is based on the requirement set by the IIT which is updated on time to time basis. If you secured 75% marks in 12th CBSE then you shall not face any problem in getting admission into IIT but for the placement opportunities it depends on company policies . Generally top companies prefer students who have secured more than 80% in class 12 but some companies also prefer the students who have secured more than 70% marks in class 12.

Unfortunately, admission to any National Institute of Technology (NIT) is not possible if you have a score of 74.18 percentile in JEE Mains. To get admission at NIT, a candidate must have a score of 90 percentile or above in the JEE Mains exam. The eligibility criteria are the same for appearing in the JEE advanced exam.

Total = 33000 INR

The percentage is impressive however not enough to get Coimbatore seat . But you have better chances of getting admission in Banglore or Amritapuri campus .
